MORO was founded in the beginning of last century by Lorenzo Moro, a craftsman who had the idea to devert a waterway besides his workshop in order to get the energy to power a mechanical hammer; the production until the late 1950s was targeted to the agriculture, ploughs and trailers. In the following decade the manufacture of manure spreaders with a MORO vane vacuum pump gives the start of the cilindrical tank business. The next step in the 1960s was the launch of the industrial Canal-Jet, truck mounted: MORO has become a worldwide known manufacturer of sewer cleaners. In the 1980s and 1990s the company further diversified its activities with the introduction of new products for the urban hygiene. In 2005, MORO became part of Farid Group, an Italian company active in the manufacturing of equipments for the municipal solid waste collection.

Business relations between MORO and KAISER have already started in the early 1960s. The suction-pressure vessels made in Liechtenstein by KAISER for agricultural use were equipped with components by MORO. In 1963, when KAISER entered the field of manufacturing sewer cleaning vehicles, the situation was similar. Their co-operation was intensified even more when Josef Kaiser developed a special excavator for the Alpine region, the walking excavator, which was also produced by MORO from 1967 on and went by the name Kamo 3X – Kamo standing as an abbreviation of KAISER and MORO.

In 2014 MORO has become part of the KAISER group, and finds its ideal combination: the basis is a complementarity of products and markets and the sharing of many years of experience in the industry.

The corporate headquarters of KAISER MORO is located in Fiume Veneto, in the province of Pordenone, North East of Italy; the factory is extended over a covered surface of about 14,000 square meters, in addition to a modern office building.

KAISER MORO product portfolio is divided in two main divisions: combination vehicles for sewer and industrial cleaning for liquid and dry waste, and vacuum pumps with components which are used by local OEM in the manufacture of combination equipments.

In the equipment division, the combination equipment Elegance is an ideal synthesis of extremely high performances with a unique design, a new piece of reference for the industry. The wide range of models has granted KAISER MORO a strong presence on the European and North African market with its preparations for cleaning sewers.

Simultaneously, in the recent past KAISER MORO was able to considerably expand its position as a strategic partner for international OEMs located in the American, Middle and Far East marktes. This success is based on a broad range of Moro vacuum pumps and many other essential components for sewer cleaning vehicles.

A book about our history

When marking our milestone birthday in 2013, our first aim was to take advantage of this opportunity for a more in-depth look at our past and also to document it. This was the context which gave rise to the idea of the book. As a result of our collaboration with the author and historian Veronika Marxer as part of our team in Schaanwald over an 18-month period, a work has been created which vividly tells the story of how the company developed from a small workshop operation to become an international industrial enterprise.
